Picked up my 300tdi a couple of months back and eventually got around to giving the seats a good scrub!
While doing so I had a nose round the battery box and (is it the) tool box compartments under the seats.
Grebby is an understatement, god knows where she's been for the last 128k, but all these areas are much cleaner now; the seats have come up a treat too, that's £120 saved on recovering them!
Anyway, in the battery box I found this!

It wasn't fixed to anything and just appeared to be sitting there.
Can anyone tell me what it's off?
I also found two hooks and a piece of angle which I assume is a bracket to hold the battery down. If it's not it appears to do the job fine now I've fitted it!
