Hey guys is the threaded hole in the top of the gearbox (See pic) where the breather pipe would normaly go?

Mines an LT77 too.

When i was attaching it to the transfer box (bought seperatly) i had to tip them both over on the pallet to get to a bolt ant the bottom and when i tipped it, oil came out??? :confused:
 
It will do cos the selectors are splash lubricated i believe. But its def for the reverse switch. It should have a copper washer on it.

Iv found where my breathers are on the gear/transfer boxes!

Apart from the two gear box breathers and the two axle breathers are there any more breathers on the vehicle that you know of? (Disco 200tdi engine in defender)

Oh and obviously the air filter pipe itself ha ha

I forgot to mention drain plugs! For wading!

Can anyone tell me how many they are and where please? :eek:

Dont want to go sticking nuts and bolts in any old orifiss and block sumet up that i shouldnt :D

Ah think there's just the one on the bottom of the clutch bell housin';)
