I have an interest in a freelander to run alongside my td5.whats this, i removed prop for fuel economy.i was working on prop nipped in and when i came out pikeys had taken it,removed prop after i hit a rock and snapped it.thats just a couple of, i removed prop because!.so what are they hiding cos i dont buy the tales of prop removal.

For the record. Removing the prop saves so little fuel, it's almost undetectable. As others have said. It's normally because the VCU has stiffened up, damaging the IRD or diff.

Doubting Toms. These are all genuine sellers selling perfectly healthy cars that have had genuine unfortunate incidents with their prop shafts.

If you prefer not to believe them, hang out for 1 with props attached, and assuming it hasn't got a 2WD IRD, you to will probably be dreaming up a genuine reason why your props are removed sooner rather than later :)
