Got a knock when i change direction on my TD5, just a one off every time you change direction ?
Any ideas peeps :)

my mate had the same symptom - turned out to be loose wheel nuts!
also check for play in your swivels.

I'd also check the bushes on the antiroll bar, radius arms and dampers.

i had a similar knock when i turned steering wheel when out and about the only thing that was found on my next mot was front radius arms were loose i ended up changing all bushes and nuts also panard rod bushes failed mot which were changed 12 months before so will not use bearmachs bushes again. etc

My guess would be the 2 rubber bushes on the front Anti roll bar Part No. RBX101181 (With ACE) / RBX101690 (Without ACE). Very common to cause those symptoms.

tonks got it right...
check the nearside roll bar bush, 10 mins, £5 and 1 bolt to fit new ones, ease the new ones in with washing up liquid

I have this knock when i go from foreward to reverse on 52 plate TD5. It is the rear half shaft, not got round to sorting it yet so cant tell you any moore, other than it is geting moore frequent. its not bushes and iam told quit a rare fault or is it

if it's one clunk when you change direction, then it's the anti roll bar bush on nearside worn and clunking as the ace kicks in.

look underneath the car at the front valance you will see the bar bush bolted to the chassis, you will feel the play in it.
