Paddocks or craddocks probably. They rarely come up on ebay and when they do fetch stupid prices.

Also I purchased a set of galvanised 109 body cappings with the intention of cutting them down to fit the 90's rear tub. Until I attempted to remove one of the 90's side cappings. As well as having to drill out all the pop rivets. The cappings are glued on and are a right bastid to get off You will end up having to use a hammer and two large chisels or pry bars to get them off. I gave up after getting one off. Sold the cappings and bought a 2nd hand tub off Ebay.

If it is just the rear ones then it's a simple job. but the sides are a bastid to do. 1st thing ya need to do is unbolt all the nuts holding the sides to the tub (10 minute job) and lift the sides up so you can see what state the side cappings are in.

Then decide whether you're going to need another rear tub or not. You could be lucky and only need the rear ones. mine looked like this

I took the roof and sides off my self in less than an hour, 110 is a bit heavier but not much.

yeah its just the rear ones by the looks of it. it also looks like someone has tried to weld it to the rear tub underneath?? or is it just the rust?

it looks like this on both sides

Thas just the rust pushing the capping away. You'll have to lift the sides up anyway to change it Get some 4"blocks of wood and just lift the sides and roof up and slide the blocks in then you'll be able to get the rear cappings off no problem.

hey, I'm lookin at what best swing away to buy for my defender 90 just have one question...how do they attach to the door?in all the pics it only shows how you fit it to the cross member and bolt into the body, not wats going on on the actual door?i'm clueless!do you fit some kinda fitting to the door that 'clips' or 'locks' to the spare wheel carrier, keeping it in place?
