After reading and re-reading....it does only say read....not clear, and I would imagine that is the get out they would use, if challenged.....bugger..!!!

As attached.....and if it doesn't do what that statement says - what would Trade Descriptions think of that statement????????

Well it actually does that.Read fault codes. It also clears them. But it does NOT clear them on Hevac system. Well at least i can't get it to.

I don't think so, why would you have a clear faults option on each menu, if it was just meant to read faults, not clear them.

Very true Tony, I might send an email to BBS and ask the question and see what comes back....can't hurt!

I'm not even sure my Multi Vehicle Licence Extreme clears fault codes on the HEVAC, maybe I'II try clearing my HEVAC tonite.

Theres always the possibility that the HEVAC unit only stores fault codes and the codes can't be cleared, they just drop off the end so to speak.....

AFAIR when I got my MSV from BBS I did read the hevac and find a few faults, which cleared ok.

FWIW Hawkeye is not locked and it will clear HEVAC faults. I'm having a different problem with mine (reading lambdas) but enery8 in here has just started an owners' help group which is being supported by Bearmach so hope to sort it out soon.

AllComms' maker Storey Wilson replied to an email from me recently (as I also have one of those) but wasn't willing to commit a date or even offer much hope about P38 capability so I sense he may have hit a wall and can no longer be bothered. Those like me who supported him early on and invested in good faith in an unfinished product (so he could defray some of his development costs) are obviously disappointed but we knew there was a risk.

The HEVAC Codes can be cleared by a Hawkeye unit. I had 12 faults before I changed the blend motors. I was unable to clear them with the BBS FCR but I used Enery8's hawkeye and this cleared them no trouble

The AllComms hardware in it's current form is, as far as I see, incapable of communicating with some of the P38 systems. As far as the Faultmate is concerned it does clear HEVAC faults, at least my multi vehicle Extreme does. Colin needs to be made aware of the FCR problem it must be a software bug. Has anyone looked at the BBS site for firmware upgrades?

Already updated to V1.7 which is the latest available.

So someone needs to alert BBS to the problem:)

Mine is also latest software. I would expect it to clear faults then when ignition is switched off and back on, to log and faults, if any, again when Hevac does it's check. One fault is L/H heated screen shorted to earth. It is a new screen and works. So that cannot be a fault. But it cannot be deleted.

Sorry to drag up this old thread, but having just received my MSV2 I used it yesterday to clear the 14 odd HEVAC faults I had, so I could actually get to the one I was interested in. Clearing/reading is fine for me. I believe BBS have found an issue with clearing HEVAC fault codes in both the MSV and MSV2, and these issues are apparently now resolved.
