if you mean hole with no bolt - normal its for wadeing plug

As above, that should be empty as standard, if you are planning on wading then fit a wading plug to it, along with one in the timing case (but take them out after or check it from time to time)

Excellent. Thanks for the help. First landy, had thoughts that I'd been driving it around for 24 hours with an unlubed transition.

yes but if there wasnt oil leak you would say that was what was missing

Here, whats that hefty looking L shaped bracket on his front diff.
I was under my Landy most of the day, dont remember seeing one of they.

its there to help prevent the steering rod from getting bent
