Hi all
When the disco goes I am selling the 2a :-( thing is i have no idea what its
worth) ,the spec is :- 1970(tax exempt) rebuilt on galv chassis with s3 bulk
head and s3 running gear, 2.5td engine , fwh , overdrive, parrabollax,
procomp shocks, it goes great but occasionally comes out of 3rd on over run
like they do, body work is mostly straight but paint job is a bit rough in
places ( due to me being too lazy to remove all the brush painted stuff
before i sprayed it) I was thinking about £2000-2500 what do you think?

The Disco is in this weeks trader at 6700 after your advice!

Cheers Icky

I've been trying to work out the value of my series 3 recently and have in
the past looked a several Land Rover similar to yours. If everything is
solid and works as it should and any modifications, like the engine etc.
have been finished to a good standard then from what I've seen advertised
and looked at in the past then probably around £3500 (poss. £4000)may be a
good place to start.
I've found that things like poor paint work, small dents and scrapes don't
make too much difference (depends on the buyer really).
Your gearbox will probably reduce its value a bit, its not something that
can be repaired as a running repair sort of thing. I would imagine that
someone looking at a Land Rover like yours is wanting something that is
fairly reliable and can be used for what Land Rovers are built for
straightaway but with some bits and pieces that can be tinkered with and
improved (as you do with Land Rovers!)

Regards
Liam
