merry christmas gents
I was browsing rangerovers.net/forum and i opened a thread, the user was posting asking 4 advice to buy a new p38,then i read that this guy is telling that landy zone is unhelpful and negative, now this guy just turned my stomach upside down.wht is happening to landy zone and y is it giving this impression?
I love landy zone,i am not a snitch, but defo there is alot of people complaining about us.
Well landy zone helped me out alot of the times, and it is the best forum ever.
Cheers

It's a helpful place, but definately unfriendly to newbies, and the language is appalling if you are not used to it.

IMHO.

Still sticking with it myself though.

think the newbies of now get off lightly compared to the days of - yella , slob , grippa , mondo etc

There was one slightly neg reply, but i thought that was kinda tongue in cheek, the rest were very helpful, i cant see what the guys boggle is with LZ, like most sites you get a bit of hassle from the start, and ride along with it..... seems you cant joke and pull peoples legs now days

Yea of course it is... goes without saying, i would rather have a little fun and banter, that make everyone happy but boring, so if you cant take the fun then FO

I don't understand folk like this.

If you go into a boozer and don't like it or the people in it you'd just finish your drink, go somewhere else and never think of it again. You wouldn't stay there arguing that they were rude and the place was **** then go down the road and slag it off:doh:

ur right barmatt,i mean if he is ****ed let him go onother place, but y the bad publicity?he must keep it for himself.i am registered to rangerovers.net and with the same user name,i never tell which forum is better, when i am there i play by their rules, and when i am here i play by our rules.what is important is getting the help, make friends, learn how to be a diy man in repairs.

I have only been a member for less than a year so still count myself as a newbee. Can't say I have ever had anything other than solid help from the guys on the site and thats right from my first post. Now I come onto the site half the time just for the crack.

5o direct him to me, I can advise him how things are.

I have to agree. After only being a member for about a fortnight I have had nothing but supportive, practical advice from guys who have infinitely more Range Rover experience than I have. Incidentally, are P38s really that bad? I managed 6 months trouble free use before my first EAS hard fault.....is this a record? I'm probably setting myself up for a fall here but I really don't see anything that needs changed on LZ forum. I'm also member of a couple of aircooled VW forums and got my wrists slapped for trying to use Pennywise the clown (off Stephen Kinkgs 'IT') as my avatar. It takes all kinds but as rightly stated above you wouldn't stay in a boozer if you didn't like the crack/beer or whatever. Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!

:clap2:
