Sold my series 3 today to a really nice local guy who's going to restore it back to, in his words, "better than when it came out of the factory".
He asked me to drop it off, which was fine as he lives less than a mile from my house.
Anyway, I get there and he has a fair collection of old vehicles in his yard. An ex-MOD light-weight, a series 2 (?) 109 pickup, a part restored traction engine, a genuine Camal trophy discovery and various old tractors.
We get talking, and he says "Come and have a look in here". We go into his barn, and he has 3 butifally restored old Landys; a series 3, a 2a, and an absolutly stunning S1.
Apparently he has spent the last 10 years restoring it, and it's just been finished. It was/is stunning.
But I couldn't help wondering, What would that be worth?
