Got a goodwinch tds goldfish from a mate, so now looking at winch bumpers. Was liking the devon 4x4 clubman one, but britpart one seems pretty similar.

Anyone got either, whats the quality like? Britpart seems cheapest by a fair bit and any other solid piece of metal from britpart seems not bad, but will it last?

Or any other recommendations, don't like tubular ones and it's for a non ac

Cheers
Stu

D44 have a nasty habit of buying cheap ****e. putting their name on it and then doubling the price. It's prob a britpart bumper that they've stuck their name on..

Aye noticed a few things that looked like that.

D44 one looks like it is 6 bolt mounting and the britpart just uses the 4 vertical standard bolts. But can only find pics of the d44 mounted so might just be me...

they do look like someone cut the top mounts off and welded a bit of bar to the front and called it D44. most winch bumpers only use the 4 bumper bolts. only one I've seen different is warn 8249 bumpers. They have a 2 flat bars going from chassis to bottom of bumper. to stop the winch dropping at the front. Piece of **** to make ya own brackets, though..

Just assumed they would be 6 as the bull bar that's on it the now is 6... Don't really want to mess about with it as taking it to the pyrenese in 3 weeks, so just want to bolt it on for a change....
Also looked at this one, it's also 6 but prefer the shape of the others, is that sad....

Clive has a bloody good reputation for his fab work, just have a search about on the site for pressbrakes stuff.

I can second the above post. I recently purchased a heavy duty bumper for my defender from Clive. His work is of very high standard and his prices are extremely reasonable.
