Agree with the above post, up to 150 amps is normally fine on a standard 13a plug.
If you can afford it try to get an inverter type welder which won't draw as much power.
 
So less than 150amps and I’m good to go,
Just need to remember how to weld - I did learn and was pretty decent at gas welding about 30 years ago!

Just take the ball out of your mouth and don't wear the tight rubber suit and it will all come back to you :)
