Standard OE specified 195/80r15 Goodyear Wrangler HP at the moment replacement wheels and tyres on their way... Courier collecting them in the morning 8)

kingpin pathfinders 195 80 15 sat in the garage waiting for me to fit them this weekend.

Now running GT Radial MaxMiler 195R15C front and back. They are commercial tyres for vans and light trucks designed for "heavy loads and long distances" - so hopefully should last a lot longer than the Wranglers that I have been running and are now discontinued here in NZ.

The speed limit here is 100KMH/60MPH and its kept to quite closely, so high speed capabilities are not really high on the importance list.

They're running at their recommended 40PSI and I haven't really noticed too much reduction in ride quality - definitely not bone crunching :)

They do make a bit of noise though at about 30MPH. Not a lot, just a small whine and it does appear to be reducing - or I'm getting used to it!

The tread is quite 'chunky' but I'm not sure how the 40PSI will work out on the icy ski field roads or the beach. Hopefully should be back to 4WD soon so will find out!

Have run on real cheapies for the last 2 years Maxis 195x80x15 42 euros (£33) a piece, real good on rough roads and still another 2 years on them at this rate

I've just fitted 245/65/17's to my td4 FL1.
I had to persuade the inside of the front arches to make room (but only 1-2mm)
Slight rubbing at the rear on one side under hard cornering but it's just ticking the plastic arch lining so I will cut that away a little.

Overall I'm really happy with how it drives and the new higher stance and driving position.

Certainly a lot better than the 205/50/17's that the previous owner had on it!
It looked and drove terribly!
