I run standard Michelin 7.50R16 on my 1994 (200 tdi) 90" hardtop and will need to replace theese quite soon. So much good is being said about BFG tyres and I suppose that I have narrowed the choice down to;

- get new standard 7.50R16 on the standard rims
- get BFG AT 235x85x16 on Boost alloys (slight dissagreement with the speedo)
- get BFG AT 265X75X16 on Boost alloys

I do most miles on road but occationally get off road as well.

Any pros/cons and experiences are appreciated.

i have cooper discoverer atr 265/75 on ma 90 there great seeming to last me ages never had a problems with em.

You pays your money you takes your choice! I run bfg all terrians on boost alloys (265,s) quiet on road good off.

Enden up getting BFG AT 235x85x16 on Boost alloys. A bit of a disaster to the wallet as they set me back roughly £200 each but so far I'm still smiling. Compared with the factory standard Michelin they provide a much firmer ride, firmer steering, and also a less bumpy ride as they are a fair bit wider than the Michelins. I have not yet tried them off the road, but simply having a look at the thread compared with the old ones leaves me no doubt that they will do a much better job off the road as well as on it.
