Hi Guys, as some of you will be aware . I have got a 109 Station wagon, i need to do some chassis repair and a x member change. I really do not want to take the whold body off, because i do not have the space to store it. I also do not have the help (man power), parts and welding knowledge to get it done in a few days.

Basically is it possible to unbolt the body, and jack it up so it stood up clear of the chassis on breeze blocks ??????????? giving me enough access to get the chassis work done.

If so were the fook do i start unbolting ? I have had a little flick through the manuals, but nothing seems to be clear

Feed it to pigs
The cops will never find anything..
That's what I do when disposing of body

Any chance of getting this thread merged with my other thread and also changing the title of it to "rebirth of Betty" instead of footwells.

Cheers

Unbolt it from the rear mounts and I seem to recall some behind the seat box. If you support it on 50 gallon oil drums just remember it will blow away in the first gale.

They go through bone like butter...

Ok, i have taken then bolts out of the windscreen, back x member, behind the seat box. I am really having trouble with the ones at the bottom of the door post/bulk head. Have i missed any thing? it does not seem to budge.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about something else entirely :D You know what they say a friend will help you move house, a good friend will help you move a body.

There are a few wing stays that bolt to the chassis aswell, I took mine off, an# the filler pipe to the tank along with the wires from the back lights.

All unbolted and ready for the lift, Cheers for the help guys.

With everything else to do, not looking forward to sorting this little lot out after. Should be easy enough.
