Back in the early 90's there was the Eagle which put a GRP Jeep style body onto a RR chassis, very popular conversion at the time and there were certainly quite a few around.

It says it's "based on CR2 Wrangler jeep"

Shirley that means it ain't based on a Fender!!

Why is that heap of crap purport to have been made by Land Rover?

Am I missing something here?

The eagle bodied RRC chassis based vehicles were the nuts. They were the best offroad kit car around I always wanted one. The one in the AWDC club in our area was back and red chassis. I think the guy was called Richard and that thing went everywhere and some! The one above is hidious but I see why they did it to keep legal but its horrendus!

Haha - I came across this as I am now the OWNER of this vehicle and was simply searching using the Reg no. You're all wrong! For one it's a Discovery, 2. wherever I go people say it's stunning (only yesterday a guy said I should put it into mass production 3. I LOVE IT (and my heart has been broken by your comments) NOT!!!! And I can only assume it's because you're all SO into the originals (and I have to say I am NOT KEEN on the body of the original anyway but nothing personal)... 4. I'd rather own Charlie than ANY brand new version of any Landrover as it's unique! 5. Funnily enough the first time I saw it I didnt like the back either so disregarded it for a few days - now I love it as it looks boxy AND makes it really practical. 6. It tows my caravan (Eriba Puck - you'll probably hate that too) like a rag doll (can't feel it's there). 7. I feel so much better for saying all this THANK YOU!

Let's see a pic. No bias here. Well not me anyway.

To the idiot who said I'm too embarrassed to put the pickies up - I'm not that - I AM PROUD of this unique vehicle (thought you might have picked up on that somewhat!) - it's just I moved on to other things (er... like living!!). I also thought I'd get notifications of replies - not so.

Why does any decent forum always resort to a bitchfest??

Also I'm not the 'man' you think I am - I'm a woman - surprise surprise even WE can handle a LR / Jeep!! :D

I might even smash into your stereotype of the type of woman you think I am!
