right, after much deliberation... i recon, sell the landy, maybe get 3k?? snow tax and all.. get a cheap 200sx or 330d(for mpg and power ;-) ) for about 1500, then get a 90 that needs a bit of work in spring time for the 2k with the 1500 change plus a bit.. then get it pimped ready for winter, swap tax an insurance over for 6 months.. then whip the summer car out! perfect... in theory.. haha

I would love to have something chuck about but finances and lack of parking stops that idea, even an old XR2 (if there still around?) MK 2 Golf gti or similar simple hot hatch

or..

Landrover suspercharged @ York raceway 2009 - YouTube

that thing is awesome!!

i think i have a plan.. sell the landy.,. spend half on a quick car, save half back up, but a landy that needs abit of work over summer. then come winter swap insurance and tax over.. its all good! best of both worlds! in theory.... haha

Hasnt the law just changed that even when a vehicle is sorn you need insurance???
I would wait till the warmer months just encase you sell your LR buy a speed ticket machine and have a bad winter !!!!!!

I love my S2a to bits, but I would severlely miss not having a quick-ish car. So I have the S2a for having fun in the mud, trips, sometimes as a daily car if I am in the mood. Then the Celica GT4 for the main daily and bit of power...Mazda 323 Turbo as the light nimble sporty car...Astra MK2 as the FWD fun car and the Suzuki SJ...well, not thought of the reasoning for having that then!

yeh, think it only has to be insured if it IS taxed.. but not if sorned.. hmmmm.. very tempted! i want an early 90's 200sx really (agree with the 90's cars being best!).. i have storage sorted for the landy when i get another..

i still cant quite bring my self to make a for sale thread..

It does not need to ne insured it if is off the road and declared SORN.

Early 90s the best? Hmm! 80s for me :D
