Hi, just got a defender 90 and it needs a little love. starting with seats.

What is an easy fit, on a budget so looking at using something less desirable than actual defnder seats.

any info appreciated

Yep has been covered many times.

Cobra seats are a good bet, easy to get subframes.

Same with OMP.

Or make your own subframe, its not too hard, sheet of 6mm steel some nuts and bolts.

If you pick up a set of cobra seats, then cobra do subframes for landrover fitting. If you don't wanna take the whole seat out everything you wanna get a leccy or battery, the cobra lemans seats have the removable seat base.
Otherwise, retrim kits are available from landrover, or ex moor trim.

If your seat frames are OK, Paddocks do a retrim kit with the foam & fabric covers. I used them when I got my current Defender 4 years ago & they're still good

I just got a set from sams trim. I am so chuffed! Got them in black perforted vinyl with greay diamond stitching and went for the heated elements too! What a wuss...but they are mega!

The answer you need is in the :introduce yourself" section.

I would re trim and refoam the originals. Keeps them matching with the rest of it and I think they are comfy

I've got a couple of plastic garden chairs in my disco. Im taking them to the tip but you can have them for £50.
