Ok I know this has been discussed a million times. But no where that I've seen tells me exactly in simpleton terms what paint and how to prepare.
I've got a90 hardtop and want to prep and paint an ive/heritage green with a black roof. I'm going to roll it on.
What I'd really appreciate is what grit paper to use and when and what paint to buy and where from.

Cheers.

180 grit paper to roughen and key, buy it on rolls from Amazon.

You are roller painting so no point worrying about getting all fancy LOLZ ;)

Thanks is that synthetic and does it need thinning?

I think it is synthetic. I bought 15ltrs trying to get a colour close to Keswick green, I couldn’t get near it, so had to buy 2K.

Some of them require a special thinners, but some can be thinned with normal white spirits.

Thanks. How much would I need for for 90 5 litres?

5ltrs should be more than enough, but it really depends how good of a job you want to do. If it’s outside only, and you don’t strip it down, then yeah. If you are doing inside and out, and strip each panel to paint it, then it might not be enough.
