May be a crap thread but here goes
What parts have you had to replace / repair on your disco that you were able to find an alternative / better / cheaper replacement from another car ? my example was a non return valve for the rear washer motor £12 off ebay got a mini one for a pound

I'm sure I've seen them door handles somewhere before......and the headlights on a 200TDI

Door handles are generic rover parts bin ****e and the headlights are LDV sherpa. Which are also ****e as they have the worst pattern ever, even with decent bulbs!

Morris Marina door handles I think....might not even be available nowadays in any scrap yard lol

I think the earlier ones used quite a lot of Sherpa parts. Which were generally cheaper. But may not be available any more as sherpas were **** and fell apart. Sometimes Sherpa parts were available as separates when LR would only give you a whole unit (eg door mirror glass for a 90)
