My buggered fuel gauge was lying the other day. i ran out of fuel about 100 yards from home... I worked it out as just about 30mpg (200tdi defender 110) which sounds about right to me. Wondering what you all got and whether thats a good figure?

Im assuming its the sender thats gone wrong is it very hard to fix?

Cheers
Jack

I know My brother regularly get 30+MPG but he does have a fuel saver as I have (yet to be fitted) which helps alot. Would be surprised if your getting 30Mpg with a std 200Tdi with a loaded 110 tho

i get 33.8 mpg. 90 TD5 with de egr )which i dont think does anything anyway apart from not fire **** into the engine) Thats an average over 7000 miles. I use a little app on my phone to keep a record (a little sad i know!!)

It actually didnt run out completely before i filled it up so it might have even done more than 30mpg.. And my dad says im an un-economical driver! What does he know :p:p

I'd like to be able to turn off the extra fueling for the turbo but still not fitted the kit had it 3 years now. I don;t do enough miles to warrant checking but Last time we went out lets just say I was at the garage alot more than any others think my gearing needs sorting. Roll on new year I might even fit the trany box!

I'm getting between 28 and 34 from my 1993 200tdi 90. I'm quite happy with that to be honest :)

You gotta have your geeky moments at some point :D:D:p

I'm hoping to take the landy up to scotland some time also so itl be useful to know how much ill spend on fuel.
fookin shed loads..
we worked in edinburgh 2 weeks ago and from poole in dorset it took two fill ups of £80 on the way there and the same back so we spent £320 in a t5 transporter
