Any suggestions on a good quality ATF Dexron III. There are several different names like Comma; Granville; Miller; Castrol etc. don't want to change the auto box oil on my D2 and put crap in it but also, I don't want to pay more than I need to. Thanks in advance.

Any branded Dexron III will be fine, Comma, Miller, Castrol are all good. We use a straight SAE30 Morris Golden Film oil in our show engines, it's good stuff and their other oils are OK too, so add them to the list.

Morris oil added! Thanks all. Now happy to go ahead and change the oil this weekend.

Hi TRM, don't forget that it is more important to change the oil REGULARLY than worry about which make of DEXRON III goes in.

Irrespective of what LR says, I change gearbox oils every year - it's easy and cheap so why wouldn't you?

Thanks Dave, I think I am going to follow your advice and add it to the 12 monthly service. I certainly don't want to be replacing the auto box again it wasn't cheap although Ashcroft's did give excellent service

As LRs recommendation is 24,000 miles why would u want to change an auto boxes fluid every year?
