Hi
I was just out investigating an oil leak on my 300tdi which I believe to be coming from the inlet manifold gasket :confused:

However, this switch/connector I am asking about could be the culprit also, but I can't work out what it is?
I've looked at the parts catalogue but it wasn't listed.

I've attached a photo I found using google images.

It is the thing in the top left on the cylinder head

but checked the website it came from and it is a turbo boost gauge on the egr blanking plate and exhaust gas temperature sensor on the manifold :)

I think yu will find it is a turbo boost gauge on the manifold and exhaust gas temperature sensor on the egr blanking plate :)
 
The pic he has posted seems to show an electric boost gauge set up and a thermocouple for the exhaust gas temps.
Iirc the 300tdi auto had a boost/temp sensor in the inlet manifold but was in the back of the manifold.
