Hi
Removing the gearbox to replace the clutch and found this on the floor. It's obviously a cover that wasn't fitted properly but I haven't got a Scooby doo where it should fit? Any ideas?

looks like a seal of some sort ,where something would pass through into gearbox ,selector rods may be not 100% sure.

It fell out when the gearbox left the engine. Looks to me like it's been wherever it was for a while as this is its first clutch change.

Should there be a cover in the plate between engine and gearbox behind Ird? I can see the back of the flywheel. Maybe this was it and it had fallen inside?

Hi, it is the outlet for the air con condensation. A sort of one way flap valve that fits in near the remote gear change - bottom of bulkhead area. Must have fallen out - fits like a grommet would to the floorpan / lower bulkhead.

Based on primitive birth control device !!!!!!
