Please see the attached pic. Its now tied on with the missus' hair bobble until I can limp home and replace it. I've had air susp inactive for the last two weeks (allcomms on order) but today hdc inactive came on after going over a bump and abs and traction control lights are on. The car then started braking by itself like hdc does. I'm unsure if its safe to drive but I have 100miles to get home

I had a similar problem a few weeks back after it went for its MOT and the fault said ABS sensor and I had the same issues whereby when I cleared the fault it would try and put its brakes on as soon as I started to drive as if the hill descent was activating . I would then get HDC inactive, DSC, ABS and suspension also and as long as all those remained inactive it would drive 'OK' but most likely without ABS.
I think if you push in the main button on the air suspension switch it nay not try and adjust the suspension anyway which may help.
My fault finally stayed cleared after a few attempts with the Allcomms

Thanks guys, very much appreciated. I got home ok last night although the brakes felt very spongy towards the end of the journey.
It it ok to reattach the current position sensor with a new bolt or do I have to go with a new unit? The only thing wrong with it appears to be that it has become detached.
Allcomms is coming this week so hopefully I can do it all myself.

Thanks again

reattach with a bolt as long as it's not actually broken, clear air suspension by turning steering lock to lock and back to centre, then run a full scan when the allcomms turns up

yes they all get rusted and broken after time, thus making the car sit unstable as the sensors get sticky

i changed all of mine to the newer plastic ones, air suspension worked much better after
