Upgrading bulbs today took out headlight and there is a spare electrical behind the near side light

Couldn't seem to see one behind offside

Is it for spot lights ?

What colour is it? Check on the colour then the wiring diagram will tell you where it goes. Otherwise google 'vehicle wiring colours' and you will find standard colour codes.
 
It will be the sound box for the alarm loom, its usually tucked up into the corner and is loud a f*ck when it goes off....ask ma neighbours!:rolleyes:
 
Is it square? With, if I remember correctly, maybe a heavy-ish green with red wire or something like that?

Is it for ROW spec and is for washers - other end can be found behind dash, I have earmarked it for a good pre-run wire to switch a relay for something I may add in the future.
 
On 300tdi defender orange with black stripe goes to alarm unit when fitted. At a guess if your does not have factory alarm then this is where it would be. Perhaps some electrical guru would confirm this for you
