Why not run the engine warm to get a bit of heat in it. It's in oil so shouldn't be seized right through the thread depth.
 
Just managed to replace it , it was one of those leaps of faith , gave it one massive shove , it was either going to unscrew or snap off , luckily it came out , as you can see on the picture (at 3 oclock position) it had developed a hole (poss stonechip) and oil was dripping out
