That’s also an early front panel;)
Cranking handle hole & bonnet lock
Ah ok. So the vehicle was originally bought new for use as a mobile sprayer for weed control on highway hard shoulders.
There’s a huge Hardy sprayer that mounts on the back of the pickup bed, and a huge steel boom that mounts to front of the chassis rails.
The hole on the left of the photo was for the electrical connection to the boom.
The hole on the right of the photo was for the pipe that fed the boom. It was also sprayed yellow (badly) and still sports the yellow beacons and ‘Highway Maintenance’ badges on the tailgate.

It’s an ‘87, so pre ‘defender’ and just a ‘110’.

Had a quick look at the transmission oil levels. The oil in the axles is still yellow in colour rather than black, despite having been in there around a year. Imagine my surprise.

Today I did the screen wash bottle bracket and the top radiator brackets.
Where the brackets were originally just plated, I’ve painted them in cold galv paint. I can’t decide if I like it yet :)
also on show is one of my birthday presents (it’s today). I guess my family knows me well. I also got a set of replacement lights, a set of side decals and a LR key ring :)

Picked up a wee fuel cut off solenoid, now where to fit?

Was thinking diverting the fuel line into the seat box?
But it's passing down the now, so I'll look later

I drove it for 7 hours. I feel like I have just had a pan galactic gargle blaster lol

You need heated leather RX8 seats, a good amount of Silent Coat, a large flask of good strong hot coffee and an wonderfully sex crazed woman of choice in the passenger seat who repairs Land Rovers for a day job. Combined, they transform Old Tratters...:D

eta the answer for this type of woman is 42 ;)

Replaced the exhaust tail end section. Most of it mysteriously disappeared a few weeks ago

EDIT
I should say I bought the exhaust parts through LRDirect. When I took all of the cardboard packaging off I was very impressed by the wall thickness of the pipe. It's very solid
On the delivery note it was sent by K Motors Ltd which is this LR Indie
https://www.kmotors.co.uk/

EDIT 2
I've had a look through their website and K Motors created LRDirect. I didn't know that :)
