Being filmed at a friends farm & offroad site famous in the Land Rover world "Bob Ives" & his brother joe the only British team to win the camel trophy and awarded the Segrave trophy . He is about 5 mins from where I live and now does/ did do all the back up/ filming crew for the top gear adventures abroad when it was with clarkson/Hammond/ may not the new lot.

Removed on the rust in the battery box which had turbed orange. Also fitted my second bench seat, as well as finding plenty of rust in one of the doors

Just fitted a new lower steering shaft in my lunch break. Steering was a tad loose in spots and recently started binding at random points. The lower UJ was buggered.

Started wiring up my bumper-mounted lights. Realised I could use the same circuit as the DRLs use, since they will always be off when any other lights are on. Sorted the earth connection (the bumper itself is a bad ground point) and ran the wires from the lights to the relays under the bonnet. Still need to sort out the trigger wires and override switches.

I have just washed mine because it was filthy, now it looks tooooooo clean for a defender, will now have to go an get it dirty again!

Finished assembling the engine/gearbox..
