ERM right, blanked off the egr, took off the fan, tweeked the pump, fixed the passenger door lock, fitted a stereo, new wipers, new head light bulbs, de greased the engine, would have serviced it but the stuff hasn't turned up yet that's about it really

well as it aint stop raining in Catterick I though I'd sit and watch where the water was coming in from...So after some time I noticed a small trickle coming from the window bracket. I have the 3 bolt version fitted to mine. So further investigating I find one of the bolts is to short and is silicone'd in allowing water to run in behind it and down....then I took the whole bracket off to find black sealant on the outside that only covered two thirds of the bracket.....joy. (thanks again MRM landrovers now called Heritage Landrovers...an other bodge on the wagon)....so I've got white silicone on the remaining bolts and I've got a spare bolt that don't fit flush covered in silicone to stop the water ingressing....just ordered new seals and bolts from Lrseries ......
.hopefully this will cure this leak!:violent:

Fixed the dual battery system. Virtually ripped it all out to find the fault and it was one of the fused on the main positive lead between the batteries either side of the main relay! Didn't expect them to ever fail. Possibly not high enough power rating but will leave them as they are until I am able to make up a better cable.

Heard a strange sound then saw my alt belt lying halfway up the road. Heard another strange rattling sound and lifted the bonnet to see my alternator broken completely off :what: how the hell does that happen, the top mount is totally sheared. Is this common on a 200tdi and is it ally or steel?

nothing today but yesterday got a whole load of body bits and some axles which need a quick rebuild and mods to fit the series
