Not all today, but started thursday night, finished off today.
Removed and resealed sump.
Replaced water pump
Engine oil & filter change
Replaced timing belt, including replacing front inner and outer crank seals and new crank pulley.
New S belt
Removed & refitted radiator etc. gaining better access for the above.

All in all pretty pleased with myself, its the 1st cambelt ive done on a diesel, infact its the 1st one ive done in about 15 years, the last being a cortina.

Celebrated by ordering some more new bits. So the next installment is to be
Front discs
Front and rear springs OE heavy duty ones (standard length)
Front and rear shockers Pro Comp ES9000's (standard length)
Cubby box

Mark

removing the clutch master cyl from a scrap rover75
fitting it to me dads one kept ya busy for a while, saved ya getting bored

trying to mow the grass with a ****ty 'lectric mower, getting ****ed off with it, going over to me dads and swiping his could be worse, could be on ya hands and knees with scissors and a ruler

and to top it off the fooking front gate decided to fall off its hinges FFS at least it didn't fall on ya toes

Finally worked on mine today.
Drained the transfer box, removed and cleaned the lower inspection plate. Reattached it using tiger seal and lock tight.
Removed the 30mm nut that holds the front prop mount, took it apart and replaced the 4 knackered bolt for the uj.
Refilled the transfer box, ripped the broken uj out and replaced it.
Went to work.
Just come back to fit the prop back on and realised i've no idea where the 4 nuts and bolts for the prop to axle uj are. Gay gay gay!!
Using the truck tomorrow so looks like its gonna be running rwd. :(

Chris.

bought and fitted a pair of axle breathers 1/8"bsp > 6mm nylon hose and they are hydraulic pipe fittings so should last unlike the cheap ebay crap
