after my tinkering with new drop arm and ball joints,
new light/indicator switch,
new shultz gun spraying 2 litres of it where I welded just about everything 2 years ago,
then 1 litre of waxoil in my box sections and rear chassis/cross section,
I took all me "essential" bits out the back all loaded onto a sack barrow,
then realised just how heavy it all was, :)
then drove `ol disco doosel up for MOT..
spent half hour talking about the 2 super rods
| National Superrods and V6 Superrods
parked outside the MOT bay,
then mot man had a GOOD look round underneath,
came out and said,

"thats a nice old Landrover mate!"

and gave me a page of white paper with half a sheet of writing on it..
gorn are the days of pretty green MOT`s.

I were a happy chappy again :)

quarter an hour later,
car tax bought online with all "essential" legal bits checked in a jiffy..

big bro` IS watching over us now!

P38 diesel took off air intake manifold to replace a leaking no6 diesel fuel line
Bought a second hand set from flebay all good, also went for the penny trick and blanked of egr, but as always now I need to order a top radiator hose as its been rubbing against the egr and has formed a very soft spot, am taking no chances !

Mine did something similar, I have used cable ties to stop the top hose from getting too close. Do need to replace the hose though as it is a weak spot now.

Started stripping my engine out after work.......Sometimes you start doing one thing and find something else that you didn't want to......but kinda glad you did :(

Cleaned all the clay-mud like substance from Peterborough off it and also measured how my new Optima will fit, luckily it's a pretty much straight swap for the suspect Numax :D Also pulled the number plate off the bumper because it looked untidy with cable ties, it's in the windscreen temporarily

She goes like stink now, sorted its "tune" out, haven't tampered with the turbo, haven't worked out how to shorten the rod yet. Gonna have to back of the fuel a wee bit as she does put some smoke out when I floor it... not tooo too bad though.

Got the air compressor out, checked my tired pressures, then spent half an hour blowing crud out of the radiator and intercool, she was getting rather hot whilst flying up them hills at 70! So hopefully that will help :D ;)

Found my hand break was rubbing too. And that the breaks on passenger side front wheel are binding a lil :/

Bought it a friend, well i know its not a landy but it is an animal :behindsofa: now wondering how much 17" ATs are gonna cost

productive day , fitted new centre and rear ex.air filter ANTI FREEZ(good weather cant last much longer round here) , done valve clearance ,new oil seals under rocker gasket . no cuts bruses or broken bolts so a good day , only thing is misses now says disco is to quiet , oh well cant win em all:D

Taken off the manifold, replaced the studs and gaskets and replaced the headlight bulb connectors as the they had melted. I now have beautiful V8 soundtrack to listen too. and headlights to see with. And free from vibration,s replaced the rubber propshaft coupling.

Family picnic, then watched Mrs Roosta get busy with the T-Cut while I found out what other shoddy workmanship had befallen our baby prior to our ownership. Ordered some new hub covers and fitted a new handbrake gaiter.

Finally found time to fit the genuine LR thermostat I'd bought. Turns out the c*nting indy fitted a cheap copy (if he even changed it at all, as it was rusted!) when he sorted the HG failure, even though I had specifically asked him to fit a genuine one:mad: Hopefully the coolant loss issue may well be over....

...Oh and I fitted a new rear door check stay, had to fashion my own sleeve for it though! Just need to get a small patch welded onto the cross-member now where I gained access.

Connected up aerial, ripped out carpet on driver's side - sopping wet :(

Removed bumper (again) and repainted rear cross member.
