Changed the PTO bearing in the T-box ... with help from Mr Bromsgrove Defender ... no more overrun noise and no more lumpiness and clunking :)

I pressure washed my landy today then swiftly cracked one off on the bunnet.
Best day off i have had in ages.

Tomorrow I think I will sit on the gear stick and possibly a quick trip to the local dogging spot.

Put the new clutch kit and release arm and second hand pivot point in and threw the gearbox back on. Piccies of pivot points, notice wear on bearing slide tube inorl. And wear on slipper pad and pin on the old release fork.

I had to read that 3 times as i thought what i was reading must be wrong!

Took the lights off the lightbar and put 'em on the bumper .. doesn't look as 'cool' but they work well enough and won't shine into the cab there. Ordered some square lights for the roof, see if they work!

I've had to leave the old girl on the farm today :(

Clutch had been bad the last few days and then when i went to go home today it wouldnt go into gear. had abit of a poke about, checked fluid, tried bleeding it, nowt :mad: Looks like the master cylinder is gone

Bought replacement headlamp bulb, haven't put it in yet. Rang the parts place had two options...a peasant bulb for a fiver or a gold-plated latinum hydrogen powered halogen fired thingy for £95 quid! Are you serious?!? :eek:

Put a volt meter to the rear wiper as that has stopped working. :(

Volts = OK

Oh bugger another strip down to see what is up.

Spare wheel off, wiper arm off all that stuff.

.. this is holiday full day number 11 too

Nice work is the plan to make the back into fold away beds ?

i know in the army we used to use some stretchers with the handles cut off in the back and suspended them from the internal roll cage with chain for when we was away

All measured up for two folding matresses. Still got to make two drawers for it and some other bits but need to sort the starter motor first so its back out there with the spanners

I was on the phone for a couple of hours standing next to my landy and have cleaned off all the mud from the laning trip, from the whole of the drivers door , with my finger ,during the call :D
