Took out the rubber mats in the front and hosed out all of the mud.

Starter motor started playing up as the whole engine was covered in mud so hosed that down and left the hose pouring on the engine fan then shut the bonnet...hey presto clean engine :D

Then GT85'd the terminals on the solenoid.

Used mine to pull out a very large oak tree stump and drag it across a field.

Washed, topped up oil.
Hopefully fixed pas leak:eek:
Replaced hose to air filter.
Tightened up pas/alternator belt.
Threw rubbish out.
Ie badgers a trewey stuff:lol:
Took doggies out went to bootie and done shopping:D
 
Took off cylinder head and stripped out all four pistons in preparation for a rebuild.

Couple of the big end shells were a bit scored and quite worn, but other than that it's all in good nick. :)
 
Fitted head and injectors, primed the pump and she fired up almost imediately.
Ticks over smooth and responds to the throttle, no smoke to speak of so hoping for the best.
Get the rest of it back together now:rolleyes:
 
Had to get it washed as fitting a new checker kit and having it caked in mud from 'exploring' France made access trouble!

Just dropped mine off for the MOT.... eek.. I found out my 3500kg GVW Hicap can't be MOT'd at my local car garage. Commercial vehicle apparently. Everyday's a school day!

will be a class7 then because its over 3000kg gvw had a garage mot my van for two yrs before the computer system came on line and then they said ooops cant do it here :eek:
