A Frame :)

Hmmm well covered it in mud, cleaned it. Looked under it. Hmmm. Steering fluid dripping from under power steering motor. Sump seal will need doing,
Fitted a new intake to heater too.

Filled swivel housing with one-shot grease. Contemplated the leaking turbo oil pipe - again...and while doing so, discovered that the earth cable from the engine mount had broken free from wherever the other end was attached - and buggered if I can remember where it went to!

Replaced a leaking heater / manifold hose had loss of water problems over last couple of days and feared the worst her indoors went use it this morning water all over the drive had a small split in hose which leaked under pressure hopefully I can now sleep at night

looked at the leaks in my defender again, like all the landrovers i have owned, good system for a thirsty dog on long journeys in the wet:D.fitted new screen and seal.
result my dog's fine it still leaks.:p had a nice result new screen for under 40 quid.

Dressed off some of yesterdays welds and boxed in the outer rear offside of the chassis to stop muck from gathering there again. Getting very cold and damp but weather report is good for Monday so will start the nearside outriggers then.

Taken the Defender Green laning with some LZ chaps (Solihull Green Laning) and got it lovely and muddy and scratched to buggery ... beautiful :D:D

AT last, I finished of the cam belt change on my disco 200 doosel.
was nearly dark when I took it out for a spin, to check all is as it should be...
may be imagination, but is going better than before belt went bang..
ready for the bad weather now...:D

i have fitted a new decat pipe and replaced the auto filter to the truck, unable to test as the drain plug on the auto box has failed, hopeing i can get a new one rather than drill and tap the drain hole:doh:

Replaced fuel filter, air filter and heater plugs. And fitted lowered rear shock mounts to correct for my longer springs.

= 7hrs!!!

Flipping lower mounts are not ideal fit on the disco!

Yesterday: jacked car up, looked at steering box, let it down again. Fitted replacement rear mudflap (ripped off offroading the other week) and took front seat apart to fix heated seat element (not a great success, ongoing).

Today: dropped it off at 4x4 specialist to have death wobble investigated!! As I don't have time and it needs to be done before the bad weather hits and the missus might need to drive it!

nearly fixed my death wobble, passenger side swivel had so little resistance i could nearly flick it side to side, so much for 1.16Kg of force... so changed that side swivel bearing and bush. took all day due to seized bolts on the swivel ball, resulting in one shearing off. sucha contrast to the other side that i changed with no prior knowledge (just a haynes book of lies) in two hours.... anyway, drove a lot better, just going to replace the steering damper tomorrow and hopefully thats cured it. a
