I din't do nowt to it in particular - tis just 16 years and 93,000 miles of wear and tear.
 
Fitted new water pump.:) Stripped cylinder head off.:) (Fecker did have nylon dowels on it still.:mad: ) Head is currently being skimmed and tested.:) Have just ordered an egr blanking kit to fit while the engine is in bits.:)

Yep. :mad: :mad: :mad: I didn't feel I could trust it due to strange unexplained coolant abnormalities. Seeing as I had replaced all the hoses, expansion tank and cap and thermostat and flushed the entire cooling system about 10 times I figured new water pump and a HG had better be next on the list. On removing the head it was immediately obvious that the dowels were deformed and there are black marks where the gasket has been shifting. Hopefully it'll be back on the road next weds.
 
Rear axle got replaced by 2 shadey looking characters :rolleyes:

Changed to a one piece hose for intercooler top hose, cut off the EGR pipe and fitted my snorkel.
 
Yesterday ..........

Replaced waterpump and windscreen :D

Waterpump was unexpected and didnt have a new one so used s/h unit from old engine with Rice Crispies gasket ;) .............. works fine :D
 
Cutting away even more (isd there any left) floor prior to fitting noo stuff.:eek:
