Finally cleared all the ice from the windscreen of the 110 by parking it facing the sun:)
Broke the bolt off that secures the offside wiper arm.
Checked the oil, needs changing but sod it.
Choke cables broken as the choke arm to the carbs is super stiff for some reason and I've been jamming it up to start the engine BUT.... tried it today without the choke as I couldn't be arsed opening the bonnet. Flicked it on gas while the carbs were full and she started first time, left it on gas and petrol for a couple of minutes to warm up then flicked it on petrol only when it started to struggle. Sound like a plan in future.:)

Had new brake disc's and pad's fitted as n/s/r had cracked:eek: ... checked all fluid level's are ok

Sat in RobinT's for 6hrs waiting for an AA truck to come and pick another Disco up.

Given her a good clean inside after loading her up with straw and horse feed this morning too cold and icy too wash all the salt and grime off her :)

had to get a trailer load of hay for me sister in laws horses cos her still can't get out! its amazing how popular you become in this weather!

Today, I dug my Depender out of the snow then tried to find out why it wasn't running (it fires up, but then dies, so am thinking fuel feed issue as suggested by Buster)

As I lifted the bonnet, I slipped on the snow and pulled the damn hinge out of its housing. I couldn't wrestle it back in on my own, so I closed it as best I could, locked up and buggered off for a brew

I topped up the wind screen washer fluid, checked the oil and power steering fluid then did my daily top up of my antifreeze, I have the usual V8 problem leaking head gasket, at the moment its nothing major I just have to top up everyday.

Im looking forward to the summer so I can replace he gaskets and get the heads repaired.

The other day I was playing in the snow, had my Discovery in low range for the first time.

Loving it!
