Discovered I'll be keeping the 90 for a while & fitting the 200Tdi injun outta the disco, into it

Nearly finished a full service. Emptied oil out, did all the plugs, fuel filter, air filter, pollen filters, ignition leads etc etc. Only to find out that my oil filter remover is still at her dads :mad:

So now i gotta drive a 200 mile round trip in her bloody little micra before i can replace me filter and fill up with oil again.

Great sense of satisfaction knowing i've saved about £200 doing it meself tho.

Edit: On a side note, Plug 7 is a FARKING COW....cut 2 arms trying to get it out

Dropped some very creamy looking gearbox oil out and put some fresh in and finally got the standard Disco fuel tank fitted which I bought ages ago.
The Disco did have a speshul alloy tank with a cutout in it for the PTO shaft to run through, it looked a right abortion and was a bit on the small side as well.
Needed a bit of fettling as the rear crossmember is different too which caused a small headache fabricating a rear mount for the tankstrap.
Just as well the 'new' tank came complete with the fuel pump/sender unit as the old one was so badly corroded it fell apart
Still got the PTO fitted but that will come off soon.

Took bessie on our first outing in the mud to bradford Parkwood Off Road Centre even tho i only have road tyres we drove the easy course and it was awsome (a mega bloke let me follow him) and all i can say is i wish i had started years ago the only drawback it took me an hour to clean her up i even got to go in a 110 v8 on the big mans course and that was out of this world (wading thro water and going up and down steep climbs)a totally mega day all round.....:cheer2:

Didn't do nuffink to mine. I thought that as it's worked properly for 2 days running I better not tempt fate.:p

Steamed the rangie off underneath and then shoveled the rust up after.:D

oh and took it up to 4500 revs for the first time, gosh it goes and it sounds bloody lovely, might save up for some pertol and do it again sometime....
