how did you manage to drive all over portugal with it but when you gets to scotshire you breaks it?:rolleyes::D


I parked on a slope the other way........you has to drive on the other side in Scotlandshire,,,,,,bloody foriegn place:p:p:p:p
 
today I went shopping for a gasket set and timing chain and new head bolts.. forgot to get a fan belt but that's easy enough to change later on..

I then removed all the stuff on the top of the engine down as far as the inlet manifold gasket.. didn't expect to find that under there :D

hopefully the heads will come off tomorrow... fingers crossed...
 
got some top notch advice
broke some clips
broke an arch liner
removed some skin
snapped a vacuum pipe

and the snorkel is only half fitted!!! :doh:
 
In the past couple of days ah've managed tae get everything bolted to the bulkhead, waxoyled the front chassis, got the bulkhead lined up, roof/sides and windscreen bolted down, chassis to bulkhead brackets sorted (no spacers needed), fitted the spare doors to help with alignment, fitted door rubbers, fitted all the dash stuff, connected up the wiring except the front lights as ah've still tae put the wings back on, painted some small bits and pieces and probably a couple of more things while sufferin' the dreaded man flu!:(;):D

Not today but yesterday............

I fitted a new aerial and a better stereo!!!

Also lightened it by finding a lot of mud behind the wheel arch liner..........

Today if i get some time i might try cleaning the breather on the engine out AND getting all the tools out of it from yesterday LOL
 
just found the transfer box output seal at the front is leaking and is ****ed off because when i had the box out i replaced the bugger!!!!
 
managed to get the head job further on.. all the way to the right hand head being off and bolt 4 on the left hand head rounding nicely...

different sockets on it tomoz I hope and see if I can't get the bugger off.. thank god I bought new ones..
 
I repaired the front panel, so bad it had collapsed at the bottom, welded in a bit of steel i had well chuffed as it already had the bend in , looks well neat

next job is repairing the ineer wings where the panel has corroded it
 
Stuck me wings back on, wired up the front lights, fitted the two brackets from the bulkhead to bottom of the wing and sill and a couple of wee odds 'n' ends ;):D
