Decided that I need a new front hub as the existing one is grumbling too loudly to ignore. Went from a little rumble every now and again to a "can't drive it" noise!

Changed headlight bulb (fixed broken fixing drilled and tapped top two holes all for a headlight bulb
For the love of LR's :)

Looks smart, how did you prep and paint it?
I sanded down the whole car and fixed the small bits that I could without going to far as it is a land rover :p. I then primed it and sprayed it but with the bad weather of recent did have much time to paint the black bits but now is all done. Waiting for a few bits like new mirrors so not long till I'm back out in it.

got under it to belt the handbrake drum with a copper hammer. think yesterdays puddle splashing had got some water in it that had froze solid during the night had to go to low range to get it to move the first time then it did it again so used a copper hammer to persuade it to release properly. glad I'm picking up the new handbrake shoes and fitting kit tomorrow. think its needed before i have further problems

Dropped it off for its mot knowing it's going to fail:eek: crapping myself waiting for the call to state cost of repairs and the inevitable fail word

Just changed the water temp sender and the injector Harness. And the award for bright idea of the decade goes to the NUMPTY who designs an engine with a wiring harness running under the rocker cover...
Doh...........

Fitted MUD LED lights all around. Very pretty and very bright! Much clearer, sharper and just nicer than the regular lights.

Sadly upon fitting realised my brake switch has broken...

need to get the new handbrake shoes and fitting kit fitted the constant bang as I try to drive away is getting annoying. need to adjust the headlight aim aswell hope that will improve my visability I think they are too high so I'm not getting the beam pattern on the road so I can't see. is there anything else that people have found helps with the headlights? D1 300tdi lights on a 200tdi

Check the voltage your getting to the bulb as old oxidized connectors in the system reduce the voltage that gets to the bulbs.

Check battery voltage and if you have much of a drop at the bulbs it's time to run the lights off a relay.

This should tell you more about it

do the relay mod in the qfac section

Took it for MOT and it only failed for r/h outrigger. Requires patching. First welding its had. So in tomorrow for a patch and its retest.

Quite happy really was expecting a few other things the garage clearly missed!

any idea why my high beam tell tale is dimly lit with the dip beam on?

Fitted the egr blank, Camshaft seal and cleaned up oil leak from there and Rear wiper blade. Next change oil pump bolt and fit rear discs and pads.
