If there is any hint of them going then replace them as they are not expensive compared with the hassle of removing the box to replace them later if they go but if they are ok there isn't much point.

Ok, may just order them as well then, its been juddering when i pull away in first, which is apparently a sign or either a work plate or oil on the clutch.

Mine does that very slightly but worse in low range. I have a new borg and beck clutch with heavy duty fork etc but i was delaying changing it till i decide on whether or not to fit a disco r380 to replace my r380 the disco one might be better for economy and i can swap all the selector stuff from the defender one.

Either way, its a gearbox out job and i dont have the means to do that. so its gonna have to go to a garage. and bankrupt me in the process ha!

It's not too difficult on a landy. Maybe someone can give you a hand for some beer tokens. Plenty of expertise on here.

F*&K....

It's NOT that much work!! It's too far for me but I'm sure someone nearer would be able to help you out for an afternoon for a quarter of that or less. You could get a recon gearbox, new clutch and fitting for that round here.

No No sorry not a grand haha, thats grand as in thats great ;) they quoted 479 for labour and parts. Got a mechanic next door to me who agreed to have a jolly up in my unit over a weekend for a hundred or so.

Hopefully can get it done. Ordered new clutch and arm, with a metal bit welded on the back of the arm to make it stronger :)

Pulled the seats apart I got off ebay the lower seat rails look rusty
so I started to strip off the rust to paint

Started cleaning me gearbox ready for fitting but realised the rugby was on so gave up and cracked open a cold one :beer2::beer2::D

done the dreaded fuel pipe leak on top of the fuel tank used an air compression connector as suggested on landy zone only thing was my pipes turned out to be 8mm not 10mm

I've replaced the front hub bearings and the swivel oil gasket. Still got the other side to do 😞
