One of those worked on my four spoke which hadn't been taken off in years and was very seized.
Lots of release spray beforehand and tighten the bolts on each side slowly and evenly until seated flush then slowly tighten the big bolt. Mine groaned as I tightened it and looked like it might bend the bar but then it suddenly released.
I cleaned the threads and smeared some grease on before replacing the wheel; the securing nut should be tight, doesn't have to be hernia tight.
It groaned and popped off - 2min job! Fab gadget….

top intercooler metal pipe & fuel return pipe from 200tdi type filter to fuel tank, the engine I have is from a lwb and we have a Ninety - so the fuel pipe is a touch long:rolleyes:

But you'll sleep better for knowing they're grade 'G'

the Ninety has no glowplug relay & relies on a 'half' position on the ignition switch, I'm liking poshness so wanted a timed glowplug circuit and remembered something from the murky past about a D1 200tdi glowplug relay & underbonnet loom someware in the garage:confused:

mH9xDzK.jpg

took a few days thinking & diggin but found the bastard:cool:

now to decipher the loom diagrams for the 4 smaller wires (6 pin relay) then decide on where it'll live underbonnet etc.

more faffin to follow.

Think big brown to live
Yellow/black glow plugs
Red/white ignition switch
Black earth
1 of the others will light the glow plug light.

what colour are we left with?

After 6 months with no fuel or temp light I decided to fit the bulbs :) it actually turned out to be a 5 min job....!! Also fitted a cubby box and the rear step has been removed ready for the nas rear step to be sprayed tomorrow !

I used the 90 for work. Brownchurch roof racks and pigeons don’t mix. The end result was Landy 1, pigeon nil. The pigeon ended up in several parts and the roof of the Landy was a mess!

I finally finished put it back together along with putting in all the relevant fluids. First turn of the key and off it went :) I did the fuel filter after running it for a bit just to be sure. New filter and a 10 second blast to get the air out and off it went again.
Bloody superb, old Landies rock :p
