Replaced the ECU coolant temperature sender (3.5 V8i 14cux in a 90).
Noticed when testing the Efi circuits the other day that the resistance was 1100 Ohm indicating 40C when both cold and hot!
The original sender had a plastic nut which started to slip with the open spanner but got a ring spanner on after removing the dizzy cap; the new CTS is all brass.
Simple job, didn't drain the cooling system and lost about a cupful. Read 3200 Ohm ~15C cold and decreased as she warmed up to ~200 Ohm once the thermostat opened ~88C. I'm happy with that!
