Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself; I'm Neil!
I picked up my first Landy at the weekend, a 300 tdi Station Wagon.
I've wanted a Defender for years but could never justify it as it would have been a 2nd car for me. But, as my 'normal' car started to make demands on my wallet I decided to sell it and start commuting by train. Thus I was set free from 'normal' cars and became able to buy my Landy! Although I know there will still be demands on my wallet, it feels acceptable because I feel it will be more like a hobby!
I enjoy photography too, so my Landy will hopefully help me reach those parts others cannot reach! I'm also looking forward to some camping trips with the family and the truck.
I'm clueless mechanically, but a couple of friends who know their stuff have given the truck a good look over and identified a few things that need doing, hopefully it will be sorted out in a couple of weeks. After that it's on with tidying up the interior.
Looking forward to sharing all my trial and tribulations and reading about everyone else's. If this forum is anything like the photography one I'm on, I look forward to all the good advice.
