Anyone know what the right fixings are for the wheel arch liners om the D2? A bunch of stuff on mine is very much in a "whatever works" state, and I'd like to do things properly, or at least make a proper decision on stuff as I'm fixing up.

At present the outer row has oversized screws and washers with metal clips on the liner, so the liner has to go behind the tabs from the wing. I think these are supposed to be plastic rivets, with the liner in front of the wing tabs?

The inner row are held into the metal of the wheel arch with self drilling bolts going upwards so the head is accessible from inside the wheel arch, and the threads can be seen in the engine bay. Some of the diagrams I've seen seem to have bolts going down from the engine bay, not up into it like that; but I'm not sure.

What's the "right" original way, and what's a good current option? Would plastic rivets all round be a risk that they might not hold well enough? They seem to hold the sill covers nice and tight.

The outer row (arch liner to wing) are flanged screws (#10), the inner row (arch liner to inner arch) are plastic rivets (#9).

Despite the parts diagram suggesting otherwise, they all go from inwards from the arch liner into the wing/body.
