We don't have a real garage but in our metaphorical one we have our family mono space flagship. The kids have banned any thought of getting rid of her even though she only does 1200 miles a year. Some things in life should be cherished.

as a matter of interest why would you have a people carrier type thing if you have a rr, to go on holiday with

Good point well made. The C8 like the kids came first and the dream ride came later. Mrs Tricky has also got the RR bug hence the low C8 miles.

In the garage - wife's learner legal Lexmoto ZSB125 custom thing, my 'mildly tuned' Honda X11, a Honda X11 for spares, my Triumph Tiger 955i hooligan bike and my project Suzuki TL1000R (a little more than mildly tuned), there are also tools, bits and pieces off my son's Defender, bike spares and a very loud and sensitive alarm! Outside the garage is my lad's 110 TD5 and in the parking area my Freelander TD4.
As you may guess I had little to no interest in cars until my son bought his Defender! Once I get myself a job (laid off in January) and a few quid saved the X11 is going to be very tuned and maybe offload the Freelander for a Disco.

Couldn't help but notice the sign to Bandon :)

They must have come down when Eire went metric all in and changed the signs out from miles to KMs :(
Yeah that picture was taken on my nans farm. She tends to acquire things when they’re swapped out. The place is an American pickers style goldmine. There was an 88 roof covered in brambles, a few tractors hiding in hedges, lots of ancient ironwork and enamel signs hanging about.

I’m working up the courage to open and drink a Guinness in a bottle from the 70s I found in a barn.

A new thing in my garage, some quick jacks
Anything for an easy life....
Now looking for a new project to put on them

just came across this thread , nothing much on the TV and saving heating gas in the shed for a full day on Sunday ..
Some pretty cool collections and weird combinations from super cars to land rovers, polar opposites, obviously true petrol heads and enthusiastic drivers ..

Attached a couple of pics of my junk . I bought my project land rover in October 2020, so far rebuilt the chassis and now got it back on its wheels and starting to reassemble the body.
other toys are a 1930 Ford coupe hot rod with vintage flathead Ford running gear . I built that at the start of 2020 over a 12 week period. took iit on a trip of the west coast of Scotland for a week and it never missed a beat , despite how it looks its a really good driving car .. Even the wife likes travelling in it.
Other projects are a 1928 model A roadster that will also have flathead V8 running gear and a 27 T roadster likewise .. I love my period style hot rods , been messing with that stuff for over 30 years .
The Landy was a whim, as was the last of the brood, my T2 Bat window Camper .. bought as a basket case for £800 10 years ago. This didn't flow well as a resto as I was side tracked several times but managed to focus on it in the end and been using it for the past 4 years . Its been up and down the country a couple of times without incident :) It didn't see much use in 2020 though ..

It's a 68 2000tc lhd first reg here in Portugal still working on it and it's history reckon it was an embassy car or belonged to one of the Port producers...this fell out of the heater vent when I was de-rusting it...

A 1969 10p coin...

I bet that rattle drove the last owner around the twist .. The shell was built like a tank really heavy but a solid driving car we used to score 3500s when they came up, usually pretty rusty but stull good drivers. Ive saw a few of these pop up recently
