Dummy Ejection Facilitator..
On the roof of a 110?? I need a full length roofrack that'll take 8x4 sheets of ply etc, to fit on me 110. But I'll be fooked if I'm gonna pay 4 or 5 times the going rate for a roofrack, Just because someone has had it fitted to a Landy.

So!! Has anyone fitted a rack off anything else? Transit sprinter etc etc??

If ya have, can ya list what it came off. & what mods were needed to get it to fit. Any thing that can save us fender owners a few quid has gotta be a good thing?? :)

I have 3 rhino roof bars from a high top transit. They are a bit on the high side so you might consider normal or mid roof bars but 2 of em can take the weight of my roof tent and myself and the ballast. A set of 3 should sort you out. Transit bars often go cheap too.

not sure its what you had in mind, but might be handy none the less.. Off a mitsubishi L200, bit of modification needed, but does the job for light stuff...

not big enough Has to take 8ft x 4ft sheets of ply & palsterboard etc.. & be strong enough to load up with 60/70 mtrs of 4"x2" timber etc.

You could ask the gaylanderers for some hints and tips

I did  What sort of advice is "FFS don't get the doors wet & install a pump in ya boot"?? When I told em I'd had water over my bonnet & didn't have a boot, They attacked me.. with what looked like curling tongs????

£200 gets you a new bog standard galv rack from Paddocks. A pukka Brownchurch one is more obviously. Branded Aluminium ones or other types are also considerable more.

If that's too much then they can be had for £100 or so off eBay usually (usual eBay price variance applies!).

Yep but transit ones of better quality go for less

So Once I've found someone who's stuck the rack off another vehicle on their 110 I'll know where to start looking.

Saw a Ally rack (cheapy copy) got for £400  Mitsa****ty ones go for about £50. And are usually reasonably good quality.

Seems all a seller has to do to sell a roof rack for stupid money i put Landrover in the title.

Coulda been worse. They coulda used hair straighteners instead.

my mates got a full length woof wack a brownchurch one that was on his rr classic cheap if you want that?
Yes please If it'll fit me fenders gutters. I know Disco ones is wider. Cos I've had to bend the legs out for a friend who bought a 90 one for his disco.

Red, I have three rhino bars and have carried 8x4s loads of times. I was luckily as I picked a pair up of fleabay for £33 then bought a new one for £60 (I needed it straight away).

Just a thought: if you buy from Craddocks let me know and I'll collect it. Landyzone carriers can then get it to you.

Ive got 2 roof bars on my 90. Cant remember what make they are, bought em off blue beasty.
Ive had 300m of roofing batten on em and they copped well.
Cost £40 i think.
Why dont you make your own?
