Just bought this defender... not sure what richards chassis it is (swb? No nothing about them) has had a 200tdi put in lr.
Need to pull a sheep trailer so need a drop hitch... which one should i be buying, and will it be low enough with 2' lift springs?
The guy sold me some hd standard springs but when i look they look the same as the yellow ones on? Any advice appreciated.

heres the lr

td5 rear xmember so more than likely a marslands ,so td5 drop plate and stays needed me thinks (mines a marslands and has same xmember):rolly:

Thanks alot, i've alot to learn. Out of interest why did they use a td5 chassis as it had a petrol engine in and they put a 200tdi in? It obviously doesn't matter?

Marslands chassis are made by gkn who make the chassis for Land Rover marslands weld mounts on for different engine configurations then have them galved that's why their chassis come with a type approval test certificate so td5/tdci rear x member is all u can have now from them because thats what gkn/Land Rover are usin now hope this helps
