Standard flat seat M12 x 1.5. Plenty on Ebay all the same. £29.99 for 20, free delivery. I bought a set of 16 and 4 locking nuts due to the amount of people who kept asking about the wheels. Cheapest locking nuts on Ebay are around £17.

So the only difference is that they're not tapered and just have a flat face?

Any idea why?

When I bought it originally the owner had just paid £3000 for a recon engine at only 32,000 miles. He was told by the fitters that the autobox needed replacement at another £3,000 and he couldn't afford to do it.10,000 miles later a piston decided to smash into the cylinder head 150 miles from home, just as me and the missus turned into our holiday destination ! On our return I made inquiries and secured and engine from a Rover 75 showing 105,000 on the clock. That engine lasted another 10k and started running rough and would only run on gas when hot.(burnt valves). However, I was offered an engine that had been used to test various electrical equipment and was never actually fitted to a car. Thinking this was a good idea, I then had that engine fitted. BIG MISTAKE. It never ran from the off.Cylinder heads were removed and all valves were rusted solid. The heads from the other engine were reconditioned as their valves had only burned out. These were duly fitted and again it never ran properly. It was stripped completely and rebuilt by a guy who builds race engines for a living costing me a fortune.Again when it was refitted it just would not run properly. Diagnostics showed nothing. I saw the engine when it was stripped on the bench and everything looked new, the guy rebuilding it said as much too. It would run but was lumpy and just wouldn't run on LPG. It was suggested it may be down to the ECU but after spending more than the car was worth I decided to sell it.I got what I was offered by a dealer 12 months before it started playing up. Plus my hand was forced as I did have the rally Td4 and the silver Td4 both needing attention, so I couldn't justify spending any more on the one vehicle, throwing good money after bad in a losing battle.
Would I have another V6 ?? YOU BET I WOULD.:D

That confirms what I thought.

The 1.8 is fun! if I was doing a lot less miles I would buy one.

No.

Actually I would get the V6 :D I prefer autos, though playing with a manual petrol every now and then is fun.

My TD4 is currently working out at 20p/mile, and that should be better than that, so hopefully will get better. Though now my car will show more miles as the tyres are smaller.... :(

From my experience, the V6 engine is better when coupled to a manual box. It's max torque comes in at 4000 odd rpm, this is a little higher than the auto box likes unless it's in sport mode all the time. A manual boxed V6 allows the engine to develop full torque or power when needed without wasting it through the torque converter. The manual box (PG1) is around 70 Kgs lighter than the auto too which can only add to the performance and economy. If only they were made!!

Big missed opportunity!

I definitely would have had a V6 but I don't like automatics.

A definite error.
Part of the reasoning behind an auto only V6 was I think something to do with it being developed for the US market where they love autos and have cheap fuel.

A manual V6 is on my 'To Do' list!!

I reckon if enough people make inquiries, then Rakeway may dust off their blueprints and start doing conversions again. I got the feeling they couldn't be bothered to set up just to make one for me.However, if they get 5 or more people ask , then they may just think again.

Count me in - will save some work and expensive mistakes!

If I had a V6 I would be :D Might get one one day!

I have and I am :)
It's worth the investment as the important stuff on the Freelander seems pretty much immortal - unimportant stuff like engines can be replaced :)
If this was a possibility I might even buy another one specifically for the purpose!
