Hi all,

Had my P38 3 weeks now and done about 600 miles! Loving it at the moment!

My question is though, on the indicator stalk there are two buttons, one has a bell on it which im assuming is to do with the alarm, the other has an i (information im guessing) but my manual has little information on using these? Anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Cheers

Mark

The i button scrolls through the on board computer functions of Trip, Range, MPG, Speed etc....

The 'bell' is used to set an audible alarm at a certain speed to alert you to when you are going over your set speed.

It is in the handbook a little more reading is needed :D

DO NOT press both at once if you do it activates the front passenger ejection seat. Or if a female version the automatic tampon remover and eye shadow applicator. :D:D

Sounds like the message centre is either not working or the 3 bulbs behind it have blown....

Turn the inginition on, turn your lights on, then turn the ignition off and open the door....you should get a bong and a message telling you your lights are on!

No message - message centre is either not working or the bulbs have gone!

Message centre tells me if doors are open and warns of headlight delay if i turn engine off prior to turning lights off!

Would think it's not blown bulbs or there would be no odometer readings.

Oh....

The On Board Computer is a function of the BeCM as is the speed warning signal.

It can be enabled and disabled using diagnostics - I wonder if your is disabled...

so the i and bell buuton dont do anything, what about the panel light dimmer toggle on the top of the arm?

Not certain, i have never tried it in the dark! Oddly when i did try it in daylight i didnt think it did much but wasnt certain!

Right, dimmer on dash brightens the lumious numbers if that helps but neither of the 2 buttons do anything!
